Here's the route of my walk from Penkridge to Abbots Bromley, as shown in Google Maps. You can use the controls on the left to move around the map and zoom in and out, or you can drag the map around to move it. You can also use the controls along the top to change the type of map, as well as what's shown on the map, from points of interest to labels.
Notes
-
Accuracy: These maps aren't accurate enough for navigation – they're just a bit of fun. I entered them by hand, so if you tried to follow them, you'd probably fall off the edge of the Earth, or something even more spectacular.
-
Deviations and Mistakes: I got lost every now and then, and these maps contain a record of these random wanderings (where I could work out where I must have gone, anyway). So if I appear to deviate from long-distance paths or rights of way, that's why...
-
Scale: Not all days are initially shown at the same scale; instead, they're scaled to fit into the window at as large a size as possible. Keep an eye on the map's scale when flitting between maps to avoid confusion.
